Hi gang, my sincere thanks for 1) continuing to read my blog and 2) for following me over here. I’m about the last person I know of in little blog world to come over here. To those of you elsewhere.. come on in, the waters fine. As I’ve been posting, this has been sort of challenging week for your dear ole Sank. But no one wants to start a new venture on a sour note so I’m going bring up some goodness as we get started in the new space. This is a year of change for me, clearly. First of the new computer. I’m now a MAC guy, albeit with a PC lap top. I’m not sure that I’ll ever be able to get myself completely off the PC, after all the 4000 tracks of music I’ve got on the old PC aren’t all compatible with the new machine and I’m not about to walk away. The other thing that keeps me on the old unit.. Microsoft’s greatest program of all time.. Visio. I have a special affection for Visio, I love explaining stuff to people and graphics are clearly the key to doing it well. More news on the Eagle Project. To by blog fans.. the Court of Honor is the second weekend in March. RSVP to this site if you’d like to come. For the first time in 2008 I have a weekend with no plans except a SuperBowl party. Chance to chill and make a pot of my beer based chili that’s as good as it sounds… quiet time.
Luck- I consider myself a very lucky guy. I’m never going to win a lottery or a car (or a damn 80 gig Zune at the Microsoft booth at NRF) But I do seem to have some every day luck, which I’ll take every time. Case in point. Two meetings across downtown Minneapolis, 5 blocks through the skyway, were canceled this week. Which saved Grandpa over here from having to limp there and back. Thank you. I’ve been tasked to put together a presentation at work with video, audio, music and slides. This so far out of my league that I don’t even have a clue as to how to being. I was hoping that being a new mac guy it would prepare me for this. Fat chance. I got nuthin…My video camera does not have a firewire lead and I can’t get sh#t of it. Might was well use it for a doorstop. Warm spell for the weekend YEAH! 20 degrees but we’ll take it. I might wear shorts. Now I’m going to bail and attempt to figure out how to really use this site… make my blog look as good Literary Girls and Eric Has Issues. I can only hope to have it read as well
Oh, take a peek at Shantanu as well, now thats a sweet looking blog.
