I’m mid 40’s guy, Northern California native, currently living in the Twin Cities in Minnesota. My wife and I have three kids two boys and daughter. When I’m not blogging or doing strategic planning for my employer you can find me fishing at our lake place, playing the guitar and enjoying fine whisky’s from around the world.
I blog because I can.. because I should, and because it was my field of study in school. Now, it’s hobby.

We have some great whiskey here in Kentucky…home of Maker’s Mark…maybe you’ve heard of that?!?!?

I have, I’m not a big fan of Maker’s Mark, but I do like bourbon. Woodford Reserve, Basil Hyden and Jim Beam Black Label are my favs. I tend to drink more bourbon in the summer.. so we’re about get started now.

Got your note about F__gas and their “no usage fee.” Somehow with both Blake and me being logged in, I don’t seem to be able to post it, and I don’t seem to have your e-mail address.
Yes, P-B Elec. Coop offers propane. I’ll be talking to them. Another user let me know that F___gas’ fee for emptying a tank and removing it are as unreasonable as their “no usage fee.” That means we’ll try to use what we can next spring and aim for a fall ‘09 switch.
Winter is generally out of the question (although we did have a rather balmy New Years Eve a decade or so ago) since the road’s not plowed, there’s no insulation (wind comes through the walls), the space heater and electric blankets are the only heat, and we have to haul in any water we use.
I’ll let you know what I learn and what happens.

How was blogging your field of study in school?
