Good stuff, but a few important questions were missed:

    Favorite Author:
    Favorite Book:
    Favorite Sport:
    Favorite Team:

And the eternal: Most embarrassing moment:

  4. Chad,

Author: eh, right now it’s Lee Child and John Sandford. I also have all but the non-fiction books of Michael Crichton and many of Piers Anthony’s Xanth series.

Book: There are very few books I have read twice so I guess none of them are a favorite.

    Sport: Watching? Football. Doing? Swimming.

    Team: I don’t care.

Embarrassing moment: Getting caught with my HS girlfriend in a deserted parking lot with the windows fogged up by a police officer. He shined the light in a few times, figured out what was happening and left. I still finished the job so it wasn’t *that* embarrassing 😉

Wow, pretty nice choices on books. I am a huge Lee Child fan. Reacher is a great character, although I am sometimes amazed at how different he is written from book to book.

I read the first 10 or 12 Xanth novels, although it was years ago. As with most long series, I got lost, forgot what books I had read, and more or less gave up, but they are entertaining. I may have to pick up a copy of the first one and start them again (its probably been 15 years). The Source of All Magic or something?

My top 5(6/7), in no real order: (sorry, more kept popping in my head, I will stop now)

    Drifters by James Michner
Dogs of War by Fredrick Forsythe
    Godfather by Mario Puzo
Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan
Magician Apprentice series by Raymond Fiest
    Without Remorse by Tom Clancy
    Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry

I am also a fan of the earlier books by Tom Clancy, although I started getting lost on what book fits where and what I need to read to keep up, or if they are even a series, somewhere around Rainbow Six. I also like the Presidential Agent series by WEB Griffin. I love to read. Sometimes I even make myself read a non fiction book so I feel like I might be bettering myself. The John Kraukauer(sp) books are awesome. Into Thin Air is truly amazing.

For sports, Football is my one true love, although Baseball is catching up. The stats side of it appeals to the geek in me.

I appreciate the blogs, and am trying to tune into more of them, esp people local to the twin cities here. Sports, Cars, Books, Politics, Food. All great topics imho.

As for your most embarrassing moment, that is pretty great. If you knew who the cop was, a thank you card for not turning it into a TRULY memorable trip to the police station for both of you would be in order. I am sure he would laugh… long and hard…about such a car showing up 10 years or so later.

  6. Sank

    Favorite Author: Ayn Rand
Favorite Book: The Foundation Triology (Trilogy plus I know) by Asimov
    Favorite Sport: Baseball
    Favorite Team: San Francisco Giants.

Now the meme is complete. Thanks Chad I’ll be moving on.

  7. I love baseball — live. I will watch the Twinkies when they are playing and I have nothing else going on or if I’m at a bar but I just can’t get into the games when I’m on my couch by myself. For whatever reason, I can watch football anywhere and at any time.

Reacher is a good character and quite similar to that of Davenport in the Prey series. The Xanth novels are a holdover from 6th or 7th grade when I read the majority of them from the school library. I haven’t been able to get back into them recently but I figure I should collect them from the $1 racks when I can as they seem to be there often.

    Mmmm, beer. I need some.
